First look: Adam Driver and Lady Gaga in character for 'House of Gucci'

Lady Gaga gave a House of Gucci  first look Tuesday afternoon, sharing a photo of herself as Patrizia Reggiani and and co-star Adam Driver as Maurizio Gucci posing amid snowy mountains:

The Ridley Scott-directed film will retell the story Reggiani hiring the hit man who shot down Gucci, her ex-husband, in 1995. She was convicted of arranging the murder and sentenced to 29 years in prison in 1998, only to be released in 2016.

Maurizio was the grandson of Guccio Gucci, the high-end Italian fashion house's founder and designer.

Deadline's Mike Fleming Jr. first reported Gaga's casting in November 2019. This marks the 34-year-old actress and recording artist's first role since she became a record-breaking awards darling as Ally in yet another A Star Is Born remake (2018):

Gaga, born Stefani Germanotta, was nominated for best actress in a leading role and won best achievement in music for motion pictures (original song) at the 2019 Oscars to go along with her 11 Grammys.

Driver, meanwhile, is co-starring with Ben Affleck and Matt Damon in The Last Duel, also directed by Scott.

House of Gucci is expected to release in November.
