Netflix announces Dolly Parton will guest star in final 'Grace and Frankie' season

As if "Grace and Frankie" needed any more star power.

Netflix announced Friday that Dolly Parton "will appear" in the final season of its beloved comedy series starring Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin.

The first four episodes of the seventh and farewell season of "Grace and Frankie" arrived in August, and the remaining 12 episodes are expected to hit the streamer in 2022. Filming wrapped this week.

According to Variety, the show's 94 total episodes solidify it as Netflix's longest-running original series.

Debuting in May 2015, "Grace and Frankie" has followed, well, Grace (Fonda) and Frankie (Tomlin) as they get an unexpected new lease on life after their husbands, Sal (Sam Waterston) and Robert (Martin Sheen) come out as gay and leave them to be with each other.
