Shawn Mendes teases single 'It'll Be Okay' following split from Camila Cabello

It seems Shawn Mendes is channeling his heartbreak into his music.

On Tuesday, the 23-year-old singer-songwriter teased a new single, presumably titled "It'll Be Okay," which will drop Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. ET.

The 12-second clip features the words "it'll be okay" forming on the black screen as Mendes sings, "Are we gonna make it? Is this gonna hurt?"

The natural assumption is that the song is inspired by Mendes' recent breakup from Camila Cabello, 24, as the former couple jointly announced their split Nov. 17.

"Hey guys, we've decided to end our romantic relationship but our love for one another as humans is stronger than ever," Cabello and Mendes each posted to their individual Instagram Story. "We started our relationship as best friends and will continue to be best friends. We so appreciate your support from the beginning and moving forward."

The two musical superstars had been dating for over two years, officially recognizing July 3 as their anniversary, after years of romantic speculation.
