Red Bull has dominated the initial few rounds of the 2024 season with the magic of RB20 and Max Verstappen . On the other hand, the prancing horses seem to be the next best in line behind the Austrian giants.

The 2024 season began with people expecting Red Bull to conquer all the Grand Prix events. However, Carlos Sainz and Ferrari were able to bring down the streak of the dominant bulls in Melbourne.

The 29-year-old shared his high hopes for the races in the coming months.

I think we will still fight for wins in other tracks. We will maybe go to the Monzas or the Singapores, and Miami maybe, we’re still in the mix.

Carlos Sainz said in an interview with RacingNews365

The former three-time race winner was on pole at Monza last year and aims to do one better this year by winning in front of the Tifosi fanbase. Moreover, he reckons Ferrari will be again strong in Singapore and will also be a force to be reckoned with in Miami.

Carlos Sainz urges Ferrari to develop the SF-24

With a win under his belt this year, Sainz has his eyes sights set on winning more than one race this year and causing headaches for the Austrian team. This has led him to urge the engineers at Maranello to focus on developing the SF-24 so that he has all the ingredients essential for winning.

Sainz was keen on having different packages for different sorts of tracks to have a chance to fight the Red Bulls.

Until we develop this car at these kind of tracks, they will be three-tenths to half a second ahead. So it’s time to put our heads down and try to bring a good package to help at these sorts of tracks. Carlos Sainz said in the same interview

After being humbled by Red Bull in Japan, Sainz wants to keep up his run of strong performances. So he has stated the need for track-specific packages to boost their chances and challenge for the win. However, under the cost-cap regulations, such packages seem difficult as teams have to run under the spending limits.
