Manchester United are facing competition in the race to sign Benfica defender Antonio Silva.

The Red Devils are eager to offload Raphael Varane and bring in a younger stopper.

Per The Sun, Chelsea are the latest team to show an interest in the Benfica youngster.

The 20-year-old Portugal star has been watched by both clubs' scouts this season.

United and Chelsea are both in possible FFP trouble, which could limit how much they can spend this winter.

However, Benfica will not be deterred, as the Portuguese giants will demand a mega fee.
