He was arguably the most fearsome linebacker in the Nick Saban era at the University of Alabama.

The National Football League did not work out for Reuben Foster, but he is still living his dream. Foster is a linebacker for the Houston Roughnecks of the United Football League (UFL). The former Crimson Tide standout put on a show Sunday versus the Memphis Showboats despite a 12-18 loss for Houston. Foster led the Roughnecks with six tackles and recorded an interception.

He showed he can still make plays in coverage and generate crushing hits.

Foster captained the most entertaining defense in Alabama football history at middle linebacker in 2016.

He led that defense in total tackles (115), orchestrating a tenacious group that totaled 118 tackles for loss, 54 sacks, 55 pass breakups, 80 quarterback hurries, 17 forced fumbles, three blocked kicks, eight fumble returns, 16 interceptions, and 11 touchdowns. Foster guide the 2016 defense to a Southeastern Conference Championship and nearly a College Football Playoff National Championship. He earned first-team All-SEC, Unanimous All-American, and Butkus Award honors in 2016.

Foster, a former five-star in the 2013 recruiting class, was a three-time SEC Champion (2014-16) and a CFP National Champion (2015).

Tide fans are excited to see him continuing to play football.
