Nate Hinton most recently played in the NBA during the 2021-22 season when he appeared in two games for the Dallas Mavericks.

This past year, he played in the G League and had averages of 12.0 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.5 steals per contest while shooting 46.6% from the field and 38.3% from the three-point range in 27 regular season games (he also appeared in 18 Showcase Cup games and two G League playoff games).   

Over the offseason, Hinton signed a deal with the Houston Rockets, but he has now been waived.

Hinton has played two seasons in the NBA for the Mavs (and Houston Rockets). 

Over 23 regular season games, he has a career average of 1.8 points per contest while shooting 34.9% from the field and 21.1% from the three-point range.

Hinton has played well in the G League and has career averages of 14.4 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.7 steals per contest while shooting 45.6% from the field and 37.5% from the three-point range in 72 regular season games (he has also appeared in 32 Showcase Cup games and two G League playoff games). 

As for the Rockets, they will play their first game of the 2023-24 regular season on October 25 when they visit the Orlando Magic in Florida.  

They are coming off a year where they were the 14th seed in the Western Conference with a 22-60 record.
