The Houston Texans recently traded for former Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon and then extended him. So, you wouldn't think of the position as one of the Texans' bigger needs, but it is.

They don't have great depth at the position. If Mixon were to go down, they would be in a heap of trouble. So, it's a safe bet that the Texans could draft a running back.

Where they take one is a different story, but we know they are interested in drafting the position. We know that because they are already looking at a few guys.

According to Tony Pauline of SportsKeeda, the Texans are scheduled to have a top-30 visit with Louisville RB Isaac Guerendo, one of the more interesting prospects at the position in the draft.

Guerendo is A to Z Sports' 144th overall prospect and the 11th overall running back in the draft. Here are some of his strengths and weaknesses:

STRENGTHS

  • Elite combine performance
  • Has the size & build to carry a full workload
  • Nearly impossible to keep pace with when he hits the 3rd level
  • Good vision to spot cutback lanes on wide zone
  • Strong & reliable in pass protection
  • Catches the ball away from his frame & rarely has focus drops
  • Cutbacks are fluid & efficient
  • Falls forward & gains extra yardage through contact
  • Just 273 career touches

WEAKNESSES

  • Needs a wide open runway to reach his top speed
  • Frequently runs into blockers & stalls his momentum
  • Slow to process slants & gap exchanges
  • Doesn't always press the line to set up cutback lanes
  • Not a very dynamic or creative runner
  • Lacks sudden change of direction to make defenders miss in the open field
  • Wasn't able to win a starting job at Wisconsin or Louisville

The Texans would have much better depth than they currently have if they drafted Guerendo.
