The Sky Sports pundit is just attention seeking, he’s trying to be controversial with his usual anti-Celtic nonsense…

Kris Boyd last night claimed that Lawrence Shankland is better than Kyogo, yes he did actually say that. Not that we should be surprised though as we all know he is as bright as an eclipse. Boyd made his comments after the Hearts striker scored a fine goal to clinch victory for the Jam Tarts in the Edinburgh Derby at Easter Road.

Granted it was a fine finish and Shankland is a decent player, but he is not a patch on Kyogo, far from it. Ask yourself, would you swap Shankland for Kyogo? Not a chance in hell. If you answered yes you are a lurker and a clown as Sky Sports’ very own jester.

Boyd also said Kyogo couldn’t produce a finish the one Shankland did. Really? Has he had his eyes shut the past two seasons? Did he not cover the Glasgow Derby match at Ibrox in September? Remember Kris? The day Kyogo hit that sublime winner?

Of course he did. He knows what he’s saying is nonsense. He’s just trying to stir the pot.

Kyogo admittedly is low on confidence and out of sorts at the moment, but he’s still managed to bag nine goals in 26 games this season, including two in the biggest stage of all in the Champions League. What is it they say? Form is temporary and class is permanent. Absolutely spot on.

Boyd is just trying to keep up with Chris Sutton, that’s all, he’s clearly just trying to be controversial Ignore him, he knows fine well that what he’s saying is nonsense, to be take it with a pinch of salt.

Here’s hoping Kyogo makes him eat his words on Saturday.
