Kansas bettors take bad beat

Robert Deutsch-USA TODAY Sports

About Last Night: Well, it wasn't always pretty, but Kansas came back from a 15-point halftime deficit last night to beat North Carolina in the NCAA Championship game.

It was the largest comeback in title game history, with the final score Jayhawks 72, Tar Heels 69.

The final result was a tough pill to swallow for those who bet on the favorite Kansas to cover the 4-point spread. With just under five seconds left and up three, the Jayhawks turned it over when Dajuan Harris Jr. stepped out of bounds after catching the inbound pass, giving North Carolina one last chance to tie it. If he had just been fouled, free throws would have likely covered the spread and cashed tickets for Kansas bettors.

Tonight's Main Event: We are nearing the end of the NBA regular season, and playoff seeding is in flux for both conferences. Tonight's biggest game is the Bucks-Bulls. Chicago is looking to secure their spot in the top-six of the Eastern Conference to avoid the play-in games, and Milwaukee is working to lock in the highest seed they can.

The Betting Angle: Lineup decisions have made it apparent that Milwaukee is putting a higher priority on some games more than others, with tonight's game against Chicago set as a game with their full attention. The Bucks will be at full-strength and have shown an ability to shut down the Bulls top player, DeMar Derozan. With the defensive edge, we expect Milwaukee to easily cover the -4.5 spread in this one.

Loaded NHL Slate Tonight: The NHL schedule is packed tonight with quality games; many of the top players and award favorites will be hitting the ice on Tuesday.

With so many games, we've found some clear betting angles for prop bettors, with an emphasis on Shots on Goal. Players like Patrice Bergeron and Josh Norris headline the prop targets tonight.
