The University of Kentucky’s football schedule for the 2024 season was announced on Wednesday, and it is an exciting one for Wildcats fans. The schedule includes eight home games and a matchup with new SEC member Texas.

The Wildcats will kick off their season with four consecutive home games at Kroger Field. They will face SEC opponents South Carolina and Georgia during this stretch. The schedule also features home games against Southern Miss, Ohio, Vanderbilt, Auburn, Murray State, and in-state rival Louisville.

On the road, the Wildcats will travel to Ole Miss, Florida, Tennessee, and of course, Texas. The game against Texas will be particularly intriguing as the Longhorns will be joining the SEC in 2024.

The season opener will be on August 31 against Southern Miss, a team that UK has not faced since 2017. The Wildcats will then begin conference play in week two against South Carolina, followed by a home game against Georgia in week three. Ohio will visit Lexington in week four.

After a road trip to Ole Miss, the Wildcats will enjoy their first bye week on October 5. They will then return home to face Vanderbilt before facing a tough road test against Florida in The Swamp on October 19. The Wildcats will host Auburn on October 26, marking the first time they have faced the Tigers at home since 2015.

In November, the Wildcats will hit the road to face Tennessee and Texas, making for an exciting end to the regular season. The game against Texas will be the second-ever matchup between the two teams and their first meeting since 1951.

The Wildcats’ final two home games of the regular season will be against Murray State and Louisville, two in-state rivals.

It is important to note that the SEC has eliminated divisional standings starting in 2024. The top two teams in the standings will face off in the SEC Championship Game. Each school will also play every other school at least twice in a four-year period.

Kickoff times for the early season games will be released at a later date.

For fans interested in season tickets, UK Athletics is now accepting deposits for the 2024 season. Placing a deposit will give fans a time-stamped place in line to select seat locations in Kroger Field before tickets go on sale to the general public. Fans who place a deposit will also have access to the best seat locations and will be entered for a chance to win a pair of tickets to a Kentucky men’s basketball home game.

More information about ticket pricing and the upcoming season will be provided in early 2024.

In addition to season tickets, group tickets will be available for select games in 2024. Fans can reach out to the ticket sales and service team for more information.
