Let's get aggressive with these longer odds

Tyler Herro ended up not playing, making our preferred route last night all for naught. We're in the mood for something a bit juicier on this Tuesday slate with north of 20 games in action between the NBA and NHL. We've found a few spots of interest in incredibly inviting games, a good chance to get aggressive.

Opting for some longer odds we like tonight

First leg: Bogdan Bogdanovic 4+ made threes (+150)

Trae Young is expected to be out for four weeks, opening plenty of shot volume in this Atlanta offense. That comes at an intriguing time, as the Hawks face off tonight against the Utah Jazz, the team allowing the most threes per game.

With Young out, our attention turns to Bogdan Bogdanovic to shoulder a bit more of the offensive responsibility. Bogdanovic has averaged 8.1 three-point attempts per game the past two years without Young in the lineup, nailing 3+ in 75% those contests. We're getting aggressive with this 4+ number in a smash spot.

Bogdanovic has nailed 4+ in six of his past 10 home games and should see no shortage of volume this evening.

Second leg: Timo Meier goal (+260)

Who doesn't love a revenge spot? New Jersey's Timo Meier was traded from San Jose one year ago yesterday, and tonight marks his first game back in the place where he started his career. Consider what we just saw in Chicago on Sunday, with both Patrick Kane and Alex DeBrincat scoring goals against their former team.

This history matters to players, and considering Meier logged 12 attempts in December when the Sharks came to town certainly suggests he'd like to net one against his former team.

San Jose has allowed the most shots and goals this season and are as good of a target as they come. This is a great price on Meier getting one tonight.

Betting: Bogdanovic 4+ made threes, Meier goal (+800 FanDuel)

In the news ...

Giants not expected to franchise tag Saquon Barkley, but he still might return to team — Adam Schefter has reported that most of the big name free agent RBs will not be franchise tagged, and that the market in general figures to be soft for running backs looking to cash in. That might lead to Saquon Barkley remaining a Giant, as the star RB is on the record saying he wants to stay in New York. Barkley is currently +100 to be on the Giants at the start of next season, followed by Houston at +150. Some suggest Dallas might make a run at Barkley, and they are +1000 to be his next team.

Get out ahead of Cognizant Classic with these golf picks — Yardbarker's own Jack Dougherty nailed Jake Knapp to win last weekend at 40-1, and he's back with a few fresh picks for this week's PGA Tour event. The Cognizant Classic at Palm Beach, formerly known as the Honda Classic, tees off on Thursday. Dougherty is buying the dip on Sunjae Im winning this weekend at 35-1. Im has not played well over the past month, but Im's force career win came on this golf course, and we're just a few weeks removed from Im setting a 72-hole PGA Tour record with 34 birdies in one tournament. We like the discounted price on the South Korean to find his game this week.
