Tom Brady, who retired from playing football last February – did not play in this year’s Super Bowl. However, he did feature in a Super Bowl commercial for Dunkin alongside Hollywood actors Ben Affleck and Matt Damon . The advertisement received positive feedback from many, but actor and Boston native Mark Wahlberg is bitter about not being included.

During a recent interview on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert , Wahlberg joked that he is bitter about his fellow Boston natives Affleck and Damon failing to include him in the advertisement. Wahlberg also joked that his growing up in Dorchester might be why they didn’t invite him to be in the commercial. Both Affleck and Damon grew up in Cambridge.

I have no idea [why I wasn’t in the commercial]. I’m from the wrong side of the tracks, I think. Mark Wahlberg said

Still, ‘The Departed’ actor claimed that the advertisement was really funny. He also joked that he is trying to get on the good side of Affleck and Damon.

I think, hopefully, they’ll give me the call one of these days, but I’m still waiting patiently. Mark Wahlberg added

Mark Wahlberg, Ben Affleck, and Matt Damon are all Boston natives and are ardent fans of Tom Brady and the New England Patriots. So, Wahlberg joked about being bitter about not being in the Dunkin’ Super Bowl commercial with them.

Affleck’s advertisement featured many stars including his wife Jennifer Lopez , and social media sensation, Charli D’Amelio. The ad which had Tom Brady as a bandmate of Affleck promoted the new DunKings menu, which Dunkin launched on February 12. Affleck has been collaborating with Dunkin’ ever since he was photographed with the coffee chain’s drink by paparazzi.

It seems like the Super Bowl viewers cannot escape the 7-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady. During the 2023 season’s title game, Brady appeared in multiple Super Bowl commercials.

He appeared in a commercial for Dunkin with his friends and Hollywood A-listers Matt Damon and Ben Affleck. Furthermore, he also dressed up as a cowboy in another Super Bowl commercial for BetMGM with actor Vince Vaughn .

It’s safe to assume Brady is having a lot of fun following his retirement from the league. Nonetheless, he will be starting his new career as a broadcaster with Fox in the upcoming NFL season. After a stellar career, now the 15-time Pro Bowler is ready to dominate another aspect of the sport.
