One of the top receivers from the Class of 2025 has Penn State as a finalist.

Early Monday afternoon, Quincy Porter released his top six, and Penn State was amongst it, per Hayes Fawcett of On3Sports.

Porter has been on Penn State’s radar for a while, having been offered in October 2022 when he was still a sophomore.

Porter also visited Penn State over the winter for one of the school’s junior day events, and he talked about Penn State’s coaching staff with 247Sports.

“I’ve talked to coach (James) Franklin, a few of the recruiting coaches, the receivers coach (Marques Hagans) and the new offensive coordinator (Andy Kotelnicki).I’ve spoke to all of them.”

Per 247, Porter ended the 2023 season with had 41 catches for 969 yards (23.6 ypc) and 16 touchdowns as a junior. As a sophomore,  season in Porter caught 35 passes for 686 yards (19.6 ypc) and 11 touchdowns.

Porter told On3 over the spring what he was looking for in a school.

“It will be about what feels like home for me,” Porter told On3’s Chad Simmons in March. “I am looking for a place where I have a great relationship with the coaches.”
