Not only have other NFL teams expressed interest in members of the Los Angeles Rams coaching staff, but now it has spread to college football as well.

After finishing with a disappointing 8-5 record, the USC Trojans have been assembling a new coaching staff, specifically on the defensive side.

They acquired the final piece to their rebuild on Monday by hiring Rams defensive line coach Eric Henderson to be their co-defensive coordinator.

Henderson has taken many roles over the course of his 12-year coaching career, but most of them have him helping with the front seven.

He has had a lot of success as the Rams' defensive line coach, helping the team to a Super Bowl, and has coached one of the greats in Aaron Donald. And this year, rookie defensive tackle Kobie Turner broke out, showing his skills at player development

Henderson will have a bigger role at USC than he did with the Rams as the co-defensive coordinator alongside D'Anton Lynn, who is also a new acquisition for the Trojans from UCLA.

Head coach Lincoln Riley is excited to welcome Henderson to the program and talked more about him in his press conference.

"I'm excited to welcome the final member of our defensive staff, Eric Henderson," said Riley. "A Super Bowl Champion coach who has been recognized nationally for being the top in his field, Eric will bring immeasurable knowledge and experience to our program. We have put together a defensive staff that is second to none. We're ready to get to work."

The Rams will now start their search for a new defensive line coach as they head into the offseason following their Wild Card loss to the Lions on Sunday night.
