Country music icon and Hollywood star Reba McEntire is making a highly-anticipated return to scripted television. She will be playing the lead role in NBC's new sitcom, "Happy's Place."

In the show, Reba's character, Bobbie, inherits her father’s restaurant but is surprised to discover that she has a new business partner in the form of Isabella, her younger half-sister. The unexpected partnership is sure to bring a mix of comedic and heartwarming moments to the show.

Reba expressed her excitement about the project and emphasized how much fun she had while shooting the pilot.

"It's lots of fun. I love all genres of entertainment. But the sitcoms are so much fun, cause it's a brand new script every week. And you're just having fun. It's really hard memorizing dialogue you have to do, but it ain't my first rodeo. I do love it. And it's just playtime. We have a blast with it," Reba said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight.

The show promises to be both funny and heartfelt, and audiences can anticipate a delightful combination of laughter and emotional resonance.

Fans of Reba's previous sitcom "Reba" (which ran from 2001 to 2007) will also be excited to see her return to the small screen.

Melissa Peterman, who co-starred in "Reba," will also appear in "Happy's Place," making the series all the more special for fans and audiences.

The show reunites Reba with key members of the "Reba" producing team, promising a blend of lighthearted comedy and genuine storytelling reminiscent of the beloved show.

In addition to Reba and Melissa, "Happy’s Place" features a diverse cast including Rex Linn, Belissa Escobedo, Pablo Castelblanco, and Tokala Black Elk.

Although the premiere date has not been announced yet, it is clear that Reba's presence and the promising elements of the show will make it a must-watch.
