The 60 year old manager Steve Bruce will manage his 1,000 game on Sunday when Newcastle take on Tottenham Hotspur at St. James Park. The takeover went through of Newcastle to Saudi owners during the International break and all the talk this week is, what’s next? What players will they bring in? Who will be their new manager?

Steve Bruce says he’ll make a fist of it and any manager would only love to be in his position. The former Manchester United player Steve Bruce has massive experience and why shouldn’t he be given a crack at the job or will he be another Mark Hughes brushed aside when the money comes in for a ‘top manager’.

Interesting times at Tyneside and one for Newcastle fans to look forward to as they are now the richest club in the Premier League by some distance.
