The Tennessee Titans selected Louisville Cardinals cornerback Jarvis Brownlee in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL Draft. Brownlee joins the NFL after spending the last two seasons with the Cardinals.
In 2023, Brownlee was named an All-ACC Honorable Mention after recording 30 tackles, one tackle for loss, one interception and six pass breakups in 30 games. He missed three games due to an injury. In 2022, Brownlee started all 13 games and notched 66 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, two interceptions and 12 pass breakups.
Brownlee was at Florida State from 2019-2021. The 22-year-old redshirted in 2021 but played in four games. Brownlee played in eight games in 2020 and registered 26 tackles, two tackles for loss, one sack, one interception and one pass breakup. In 2021, Brownlee played in all 12 games and tallied 51 tackles, two tackles for loss, two interceptions, three pass breakups and one defensive touchdown.
Brownlee played high school football at Miami Carol City High School in Miami Gardens, Florida, where he was a three-star recruit. He ranked as the No. 572 overall prospect and the No. 54 cornerback in the 2019 class, according to the On3 Industry Rating.
“I’m going to make an unbelievable impact at the next level,” Brownlee said in an interview with The Draft Network. “That’s all I can say. Whatever team drafts me is going to get a great guy. I love the game of football. I play with a chip on my shoulder.”

Lance Zierlein of NFL.com shared his analysis of Brownlee for his draft profile. He predicted that Brownlee was going to be selected in the fourth round.
“Aggressive press cornerback with average size but above-average competitive fire,” Zierlein wrote. “Scouts say Brownlee made a point of working hard on his body and his approach to improve his chances on the next level, and he did just that. He’s extremely rugged and physical over the first 5 yards to disrupt route timing and can close the catch window if he’s in position.
“Brownlee is just average as the route expands in man and could be prone to penalties and allowing explosive plays down the field. There is no lack of toughness in his run support, and he’s an easy fit on special teams. Brownlee could have teams targeting him on Day 3 as a nickel defender with the potential to bump outside.”
