NFL star Tom Brady and tennis legend Novak Djokovic share a great relationship. Brady is often seen in Djokovic’s box during matches, and this mutual admiration was taken to the next level at the Laureus World Sports Awards. Brady came to present the Sportsman of the Year award.

The NFL star then wrote a special message for Djokovic on his Instagram. Brady congratulated the Serbian for his monumental achievement. He also heaped praise on Djokovic for an incredible season in 2023 and mentioned the 24-time Grand Slam champion’s overall career as well.

Congratulations on a well-deserved achievement @djokernole. And unmatched 2023, to go along with an unmatched career. Keep inspiring us all. Tom Brady wrote on Instagram while sharing a picture with Novak Djokovic.

Novak Djokovic reshared this story from Tom Brady to show his gratitude. Check it out below.

Novak Djokovic hungry for more despite sitting atop

Novak Djokovic has surpassed almost everyone in men’s tennis to sit atop with as many as 24 titles to his credit. He is currently tied with Margaret Court in terms of most Grand Slam titles. But despite all the dominance and success, Djokovic is hungry for more.

The 36-year-old says that he wants to compete for a few more years. Djokovic also talks about winning a record 25th Grand Slam title. The Serbian ace has declared that he has visualized winning another major title that will take him to a place no tennis player has ever been.

After winning a record-equalling fifth Sportsman of the Year award at the Laureus World Sports Awards, Djokovic talked about his ambitions. The Serbian ace said that he is aiming for nothing less than a title at the 2024 French Open where other stars will also fancy their chances.

You take nothing but the win, that’s the mentality. You kind of visualise yourself achieving that already. So I’ve been, you know, really looking forward to it. Of course I’m not the only one that wants to grab that title but I look forward to it. I like competing with different generations. You have the young guys who are coming up … they’re all incredibly hungry and fit and fast. Novak Djokovic said to CNN.

Notably, Djokovic was denied a chance to win his 25th Grand Slam title at the 2024 Australian Open as Jannik Sinner knocked him out in the semifinal. Now, as the clay season has kicked off, Djokovic is backing himself to come good despite the fact that he has yet to win a title this season.
