Bob Arum has revealed that the proposed March 26th date for Tyson Fury to make his return could be pushed back.

The Gypsy King last fought against Deontay Wilder back in October, when he retained his WBC heavyweight title by knocking the American to the canvas.

Fury will ideally have liked to have an opponent and a date in the calendar by this point, but complications in fight talks with WBC mandatory Dillian Whyte have prevented that from materialising.

Still, Fury could step into the ring with his compatriot on March 26th, the date which he has proposed as the ideal time for him to return to action.

That is, should there be a successful breakthrough in negotiations and a fight agreement signed.

There are also no guarantees that date will be the one for the calendar, with Bob Arum revealing that could potentially be pushed back by a few weeks.

“If the fight is a week or two later [than March 26], it’s not the end of the world.” [via Sky Sports]

Fury will be looking to stay active ahead of a potential undisputed fight later in the year. The continual roadblocks and subsequent delays are doing him no favours at current.
