Chris Eubank Jr received a bizarre request from a fan ahead of his bout with Wanik Awdijan this weekend.
Eubank Jr will be taking to the ring with Awdijan in Newcastle on Saturday night. It’s created quite the frenzy in the city, along with the Saudi Arabian takeover of Newcastle United.
After the middleweight/super-middleweight fighter was spotted out and about in the city, as you’d expect, fans took their opportunity to pose for photos with him.
One fan in particular stood out from the crowd, having approached Eubank Jr with a microwave in his hand and request that the boxer signs his signature onto it.

Eubank Jr was understandably puzzled by what a bizarre request it was and will have been wondering why the fan was trotting around Newcastle with a microwave in his hand.
Still, he obliged, signing on top of the device and making the fan’s day. If you see a Chris Eubank Jr-signed microwave doing the rounds on eBay, at least you know it’s legit…
