Coco Gauff, the top-seeded American at the 2024 Miami Open, gave a smart tribute to her childhood courts in Delray. The American had grown up on the courts of Delray Beach, training with her father to become one of the best young players there is.

During her match against Oceane Dodin on Sunday, Gauff wore her New Balance shoes, which had special words written on them. As the camera zoomed in, some imprints were visible on the soles of the shoes. The writing was “ 26 28 0.75” N 80 5’ 1.4” W. The social media were quickly on their feet, attempting to decipher what these numbers meant.

The Internet just took a couple of minutes to find out about these coordinates, leading them to the Delray Beach tennis courts, where Gauff grew up. This was one of the many ways the American had shown her love to the courts of Delray. Previously, she even took it into her own hands to renovate the courts in an attempt to give back to her hometown in Delray, Florida.

Coco Gauff has a special wish for the Dolphins as she eyes her maiden title at Miami

Young American Coco Gauff has been having an amazing season so far, as she aims for her maiden Miami Open crown. However, her wishes do not end here, as Gauff also wants her favorite NFL team, the Miami Dolphins, to win the Super Bowl as well.

In the press meet on Sunday, she wished to have a great run but also hoped that if she won, the Dolphins can also break their Super Bowl drought. It seems like Gauff is on the right path, as she secured a dominant third-round victory, and made her way onto the pre-quarter final.

It would be really cool to win here at home. --I think the best part about winning here is just being able to drive home with the trophy and not have to fly and pack. ... And I'm a Dolphins fan, so maybe if I win here they can win another trophy at the Super Bowl. Gauff said

Currently, Gauff is the youngest American to hold the third seed at the Miami Open and continues to shine better than most of the players. She will face France’s Caroline Garcia in the Round Of 16 on Sunday.
