Will Shipley was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the fourth round and his contract details were revealed following the 2024 NFL Draft.

The former Clemson running back is set to sign a four-year, $4,751,593 deal, according to Spotrac. The Eagles, who signed Saquon Barkley in NFL free agency, further bolstered their backfield with the addition of Shipley.

The former Tigers star was one of the best parts of Clemson’s offense over the last few seasons.

In his freshman year, Shipley played in 10 games and averaged five yards per carry on 149 attempts with 739 yards. He also had 11 rushing touchdowns. Shipley’s best season was his sophomore season, where he played in 14 games and recorded 110 carries for 1,182 yards, 15 rushing touchdowns, and 242 yards receiving.

Shipley finished 2023 with less than double-digit touchdowns (7) for the first time at Clemson. He finished his time as a Tiger with 526 carries for 2,748 yards, averaging 5.2 yards per carry, with 31 rushing touchdowns and two receiving touchdowns.

Shipley declared for the NFL Draft back in January arlier this month with the following post:

“Thank you for everything! The decision to attend Clemson University is the best one I’ve ever made,” started Shipley. “My Clemson experience has provided me with lifelong benefits and friendships, a confidence to excel in anything I pursue, and an appreciation for a standard of excellence.

“I am grateful to my teammates, the best brothers I could ever ask for. You’ve changed me, made me a better person, and given me memories that I will hold on to for a lifetime. I am grateful to my coaches and support staff, the greatest mentors that God could have woven together.

“I have decided to enter my name into the 2024 NFL draft. I am grateful for the last three years, and I am excited to see what the future holds! Although I’m taking the next step of my journey, I will always be a Clemson Tiger!”
