Rory McIlroy reunites with 'lucky charm' after becoming World No. 1

Rory McIlroy's PGA Tour campaign is off to a fantastic start as he won his second straight CJ Cup on Sunday and propelled himself into the No. 1 spot in the Official World Golf Ranking. But in the midst of all the post-event celebrating, the Irishman took the time to celebrate with golf superfan Kyler Aubrey who McIlroy has come to call his "lucky charm."

McIlroy first met Aubrey, a golf fanatic with cerebral palsy, in 2012 and the two have struck up quite the rapport. Aubrey was in attendance this summer when McIlroy won the FedEx Cup, something McIlroy made sure to point out after Sunday's win in North Carolina.

According to The Irish Sun, McIlroy even extended an invitation for Aubrey to "work his magic" at the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai next month.  Although, many fans have already commented that McIlroy actually needs Aubrey to be at Augusta next spring so the new World No. 1 can finally win The Masters.

McIlroy made seven birdies on Sunday to solidify his second CJ Cup victory and take the top spot in the world rankings for the ninth time in his career. He is the first PGA Tour player to win the season-opener on the heels of winning the FedEx Cup since Tiger Woods opened up the 2008 season with a win at the Farmers Insurance Open.
