These golfers have better odds than Rory McIlroy to win the Memorial Tournament

For the better part of a year, Rory McIlroy has been a favorite with oddsmakers to win PGA Tour events. But his recent rough patch has changed that, and the Irishman has had longer odds to win recent events than he did earlier in the season.

Next weekend offers McIlroy another opportunity to turn his season around as the PGA's best tee off at the Memorial Tournament at Muirfield Village Golf Club in Ohio. But do oddsmakers think he can top the leaderboard for the first time since last October?

As of Monday morning, DraftKings had McIlroy listed at 12-1 odds to win the Memorial Tournament. While those are far from the longest odds to win the event, McIlroy is behind players like Scottie Scheffler (6-1) and Jon Rahm (15-2). Another golfer with shorter odds is Patrick Cantlay, who is listed at 10-1 as he continues searching for his first win of the season.

DK also has McIlroy listed at 3-1 odds of finishing the Memorial Tournament in the top five. He does have two top-five finishes through eight starts this season, and most recently finished T7 at the PGA Championship. So despite the few hiccups he has had so far this season, it does look like McIlroy could be on an upswing. Maybe he's a better pick than his odds suggest ahead of this weekend's event.

The Memorial Tournament tees off on Thursday, June 1.
