Watch: John Daly shows off peak athleticism during first-pitch before Cardinals game

Professional golfer John Daly is quite the character, isn't he?

He's as cool as a cucumber and isn't afraid to buck the trends of an otherwise "stuffy' game.

Golf is clean-cut and proper, and Daly is anything but.

While other golfers hit the gym to improve their fitness, Daly is hitting up Hooters, smoking cigarettes on the course, or getting drunk while appearing on an SEC football pregame show.

That's why we love him. Daly is unashamedly himself, and though he may not look like an athlete as his peak, he is one heck of a golfer.

He also has quite an arm on him, apparently. That is, at least, if we're going off the assumption that this video of him throwing out the first pitch before a St. Louis Cardinals game is accurate and not doctored in any way.

That's one heck of a pitch. The fact that it came off the turn from looking back the "man and second" is even more impressive.

You may not like it, but this is what peak athletic performance looks like.
