A look at the most interesting recent MLB bobbleheads

What's cooler than a bobblehead that features Most Valuable Player hardware? The answer to that is having a life-sized version of that bobblehead. That's what happened the Angels celebrated Mike Trout's first MVP award. There's no word on whether or not they'll give him a metal statue for his latest MVP triumph.

Even though there are plenty of Star Wars-related baseball bobbleheads out there, it's only fitting that the team with the closest relationship to the great frontier of outer space came up with the best Star Wars bobblehead. That's exactly what happened when the Astros turned Dallas Keuchel, Jose Altuve and Carlos Correa into Houston's very own Jedi Council.

From an Astros bobblehead to a bobblehead of a player who currently plays for Houston: Props and action shots go a long way in making certain bobbleheads stand out from the crowd. This plastic immortalization of Josh Reddick's crazy home run robbery from spring training (of all places) when he was with the A's is a perfect example of how to really spice up your bobblehead.

Although this isn't as cool as Mike Trout's life-sized MVP bobblehead, Josh Donaldson's MVP bobblehead still scores points for all of the hardware he's sporting here. Just take a look at that MVP trophy and that Silver Slugger. That's some serious silverware for a bobblehead.

Remember the Great Atlanta "Blizzard" of 2014 that managed to bring the city to its knees with a mix of ice and snow? Freddie Freeman got stuck in it, and Chipper Jones used his ATV to save him. That hilariously cute moment was immortalized with a bobblehead, because baseball immortalizes everything with bobbleheads.

The Braves also paid tribute to Atlanta's connection with "The Walking Dead" by having a Zombie Night in 2015. This included a zombified version of A.J. Pierzynski in bobblehead form. 

Back when Jonathan Lucroy was a Brewer, the team thought so highly of its star catcher that it decided to turn him into a superhero with this particular bobblehead.

Back in 2013, the Cubs honored Darwin Barney's Gold Glove season with a pair of bobbleheads. The majority included one version of Barney with just a Gold Glove. If you were lucky, your box contained an all-gold version of Barney.

Baseball and the newly retired Vin Scully went together like peanut butter and jelly, so it was only natural that the Dodgers made sure the legend had a few bobbleheads made in his likeness, with this one from 2012 being the best of the bunch.

For the 2017 season, the Indians paid tribute to their fiery-haired infielder Jose Ramirez with a bobblehead. It's always cool seeing baseball bobbleheads without hats or helmets, but it's even better when the guy's hair is outstanding. 

The Mets gave away a few gnome-related bobbleheads recently, but this is arguably the best of the bunch. Not only did Mets fans get a gnome version of Noah Syndergaard, but Thor is also wielding his hammer here as well. 

It's not unusual to see baseball bobbleheads with superhero themes. It is unique to see them add a sidekick, and the most unique one of them all involved a dog sidekick. That's what Orioles fans got to enjoy when the O's gave away a "Crush Davis and Samson" bobblehead in 2016.

Once again, bobbleheads that come with trophies are always cool. This bobblehead of Kevin Kiermaier with his two Gold Gloves is a perfect example of the power of gold. 

What's better than having one Hall of Famer on your bobblehead mantle? Having the same Hall of Famer in two different uniforms on one mantle. That's what the Reds did to honor Ken Griffey Jr. during a bobblehead giveaway in 2016.

While Eric Davis may not be in the Hall of Fame with Ken Griffey Jr., he is in the 30/30 club. The Reds paid homage to Davis's achievement with a bobblehead that showed off his prowess with the bat and his legs.

These three exciting outfielders are going to patrol Boston's outfield for the foreseeable future, and they cap off all their victories with some sweet dance moves. One of Boston's minor league affiliates came up with the great idea to let their bobbleheads have a dance party together. 

While the Red Sox have fond memories of actually winning World Series, this moment from their losing effort in the 1975 World Series is one of the most classic moments in baseball history. So naturally, Boston turned Carlton Fisk's walk-off homer from that epic series into bobblehead history.

The Royals get extra points for adding props to their action shot. As a result, this made this bobblehead of a crazy catch that Mike Moustakas made during the 2014 ALCS a must-have for Royals fans.

Chris Sale may not be with the White Sox anymore, but they'll always have this cool bobblehead that came with a strikeout counter. He may be gone, but the memories of strikeouts past remain. 

This is another case of hardware boosting the bobblehead. In this case, it makes what was already a cool idea for a bobblehead (Mickey Mantle? Yes, please.) into something that you absolutely need if you're a Yankees fan or a baseball fan in general.
