Aaron Judge has 'choice words' for Blue Jays broadcasters

New York Yankees superstar Aaron Judge is not happy with the Toronto Blue Jays announcing crew after Dan Shulman and Buck Martinez suggested he might be cheating during their game on Monday night.

Judge addressed the allegations on Tuesday and said he had some "choice words" for the crew, while also adding, via Yankees beat writer Bryan Hoch: "I’m not happy about it, but people can say what they want. I’ve still got a game to play. I’ve got things to do.”

The Blue Jays broadcast raised suspicion on Monday night when they highlighted Judge taking a glance over toward the dugout just before a pitch was delivered, suggesting the Yankees might be up to something nefarious. Judge then clobbered a hanging 84 mph breaking pitch, hitting it to the moon for his second home run of the game.

Judge said after the game he was looking at the Yankees' dugout due to some "chirping" that was coming from that direction.

On Tuesday, several reporters came to Judge's defense arguing that even if they were deciphering pitches from something the Blue Jays pitchers were tipping, there is nothing illegal about that.

Following the Houston Astros sign-stealing scandal from a few years ago, anything that looks even the slightest bit like cheating is going to set off alarm bells and raise suspicion — even if there is nothing tangible to actually back it up.

The Blue Jays were getting beat, Judge did something that was a little out of the ordinary, and suddenly that raised suspicion. But he probably did not need any extra help to hit that pitch out of the park.
