Aaron Judge on possibly joining Red Sox: 'We'll talk about that at the end of the year'

Right now, all of the talk surrounding New York Yankees slugger Aaron Judge is about his chase for 61 home runs. Well, almost all of the talk.

Soon after he demolished a pair of clutch home runs -- his 56th and 57th of 2022 -- on Tuesday night to help the Yankees down the rival-Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park, some of the discussion shifted to the potential of him someday calling Beantown home. While the thought of the New York legend signing with the Red Sox may seem like blasphemy to some, it is widely known that the possible 2022 AL MVP will command a massive payday this offseason wherever he decides to take his career.

Judge and the Yankees were unable to come to agreement on a long-term extension earlier this year -- ultimately settling on a $19 million deal in June for the remainder of the season to avoid arbitration.

"It's the best. They're some of the best in baseball. They're going to boo you, they're going to say some things, they're going to make you laugh," Judge said of Red Sox fans. "It's all part of it. A lot of great history here and this is one of the best places to play. It's always fun going out there and trying to put on a show for them."

Towards the end of one of his postgame interviews in the New York clubhouse, a reporter directly asked the 30-year-old four-time All-Star if he would consider swapping sides in the rivalry during the winter.

"Ooh," Judge said. "We'll talk about that at the end of the year."
