The San Francisco Giants appear to have gotten a good report on outfielder Michael Conforto, who left the game in the ninth inning on Friday after being hit by a pitch.

The following update comes from the Rotowire fantasy baseball portal:

Conforto left Friday's game against the Pirates in the ninth inning after being hit by a pitch, but he was not sent for X-rays, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

ANALYSIS
There's always a chance Conforto could need a day or two after being plunked -- he appeared to be hit in the ribs -- but the decision to hold off on X-rays suggests the level of concern within the organization is low. Prior to exiting, Conforto went 2-for-4 with two RBI and a stolen base, his third steal of the campaign.

Conforto is in his first year in San Francisco after spending seven years with the New York Mets (he missed all of 2022 with injury).

As he comes back from that injury, he's hitting .240 this season with 13 homers and 46 RBI.

Lifetime, he's a .253 hitter with 145 career homers. He was drafted in the first round of the 2014 draft out of Oregon State.

The Giants beat the Pirates on Friday night to move to 50-41 on the season.

They are still in third place in the talented National League West, but are just 2.5 games back. They also currently own of the three wild card spots.

They'll take on the Pirates again on Saturday.
