The Los Angeles  Angels are expected to get some reinforcements for their game on Wednesday.

According to OC Register's Jeff Fletcher, Angels manager Ron Washington said infielder Luis Rengifo is expected to see some at-bats in one of Wednesday's split-squad games.

"Infielder Luis Rengifo (hamstring) is expected to see his first game action of the spring on Wednesday, with two at-bats and three innings of defense, Washington said. Washington said there’s still time for Rengifo to get ready for opening day."

The Angels will have split games against the Chicago Cubs and the Oakland  Athletics on Wednesday.

The 27-year-old has been dealing with a hamstring issue for the past couple of weeks. It seems that's all behind him, as he is poised to make his first appearance of spring.

Rengifo had a .783 OPS with 16 home runs in 126 games last season. In 2023, he played third base, second base, shortstop, and all over the outfield.

The 2024 season should be no different for Rengifo as he is set to play all across the diamond.
