Baseball Hall of Fame reopens amid coronavirus pandemic

In April, the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum announced that the 2020 class won't celebrate its induction ceremony until next year because of the coronavirus pandemic.

That doesn't mean fans won't have a reason to visit Cooperstown this summer.

As explained by the Associated Press (h/t ESPN), the Hall of Fame opened its doors to visitors on Friday for the first time since it closed on March 15 due to the uncontrolled virus outbreak.

Per guidelines posted by the Hall, visitors are asked to reserve a date and time for trips. The Hall requires face coverings for guests and staff members, it has placed hand-sanitizing stations throughout the venue and it added markings on floors to assist with social-distancing practices.

Certain areas known to attract large gatherings are temporarily closed.
