Shi Davidi of Sportsnet reports that Eduardo Escobar and the Toronto Blue Jays are in agreement on a minor-league deal, pending a physical. The Blue Jays add another veteran infielder to spring training who’s very versatile. Escobar has played for six different teams throughout his 13-year career. He was an All-Star for the National League in 2021, the first of his career while leading the National League in triples during the 2019 season. He’s an accomplished veteran who even hit for the cycle when he was a member of the New York Mets. This pro-third-baseman has been traded four different times in his career. During the 2023 season, Eduardo Escobar struggled most against sliders and cutters.
