It originally seemed like Eric Young Sr. following Ron Washington to the Los Angeles Angels was a done deal.

Wednesday night, Bob Nightengale of USA TODAY, reported that the Angels have not officially offered Young despite there being reports that he was following Washington to be the head man for the Angels.

Young is expected to be the third base coach for the Los Angeles Angels next season. This leaves Atlanta with open positions as third base coach and first base coach.

Managing Editor Lindsay Crosby of Braves Today released a list of potential replacements immediately after the news broke of Washington's departure. One of the names he highlighted was David Ross.

Former Braves catcher David Ross, ousted just days ago as manager of the Chicago Cubs, is a logical candidate to join Brian Snitker's staff if he doesn't find another opportunity as a head man.
Ross, who played in Atlanta from 2009-2012 while Snitker was 3rd base coach for manager Fredi González, has a pre-existing relationship with Snitker and would easily slot into the current coaching staff.
Obviously, Ross's appeal as a manager candidate means this might not happen, but it'd make a lot of sense.

Here's the full list.
