The Atlanta Braves claimed infielder/outfielder Nick Solak off waivers Tuesday from the Chicago White Sox and optioned the 28-year-old veteran to Triple-A Gwinnett.

Solak has played parts of four seasons in the majors, all with the Texas Rangers. He appeared in 253 games from 2019-22, batting .252 with 21 homers, 93 RBIs and 19 stolen bases.

Solak made starts at second base, third base, left field, center field and designated hitter with the Rangers.

The New York Yankees drafted Solak in the second round in 2016.
