The Chicago White Sox lost to the Minnesota Twins on Sunday, 5-4, in 12 innings.

The White Sox allowed three runs in the ninth inning which erased a lead and caused another gut punch defeat.

However, if you're looking for some solace as a White Sox fan, you can look at this record-breaking play from rookie Oscar Colas.

Per Sarah Langs of MLB.com:

Oscar Colás’ 100.9 mph assist was:

- the fastest OF assist of the year in MLB

- the White Sox fastest-tracked OF assist under Statcast (2015)

There's been plenty of talk lately about Cincinnati Reds rookie Elly De La Cruz and his Statcast-record throws, but don't let this one go ignored.

Colas broke camp with the White Sox before being sent down but is back again. He was one of the White Sox top prospects but has exhausted his prospect eligibility.

His arm and legs are certainly major league ready, but his bat is coming along slowly. He's hitting .218 across 119 at-bats. He's added one home run and nine RBI.

The 24-year-old also has posted a .252 on-base percentage.

After the loss, the White Sox are now a very disappointing 41-60 on the season. They are in fourth place in the American League Central, have lost three straight and seven of their last 10.

The White Sox appear ready to sell at the upcoming trade deadline, and the drumbeat is getting louder about them possibly trading star infielder Tim Anderson.

The White Sox will be off on Monday before hosting the Cubs on Tuesday.
