If there was anybody that should have been celebrating and boasting after the Los Angels split their series against the Baltimore Orioles in a tight 6-5 win on Thursday, it was none other than Hunter Renfroe.

Even though he only recorded one hit and one walk in his four at-bats in the match, he made the biggest play when it mattered. Renfroe was able to track down a big hit that bounced off the left wall from Adam Frazier and made an incredible throw to second base in the ninth inning that saved the Halos.

Take a look for yourself!

As Humble As They Come

However, there are just certain that allow others to do the talking for them along with their game. Renfroe is definitely one of those people as despite Phil Nevin and Mike Trout hyping up his clutch throw, he didn't think too much of it.

“I wouldn’t say it was one of my favorite throws,” Renfroe said. “I wouldn’t say it was not not difficult, but he was out.”

Renfroe then went on to explain exactly what occurred during the play.

“I was able to get a good carom off the wall and get my feet set and take my time to make a strong throw to second,” said Renfroe.

But this is not the first time that the 31-year-old has made a huge throw like that this season... he is beginning to develop quite the reputation.

Looking Ahead To Next Game
