New York Yankees first baseman Anthony Rizzo records a historic 300th career HR against Milwaukee Brewers on Sunday at American Family Field. He became the 161st player in MLB history to record this score.

Rizzo commented how this would be recorded in history and it’ll be memorable to “reflect back and take time to just appreciate how hard it is and how much fun it’s been along the way.” His incredible feat earned huge applause from not only the crowd but also his teammates and manager.

Aaron Judge spoke highly of the veteran baseballer noting how “it speaks volumes.” He added it’s “pretty special” to have Rizzo in the locker room donning the pinstripes and playing alongside him all these years.

Getting the chance to play with him, I watched him from afar for so many years. To get him here in pinstripes…For him to be part of that list and counting is pretty special. Aaron Judge as per Greg Joyce of NY Post.

Judge himself is the next closest player to record 300th career HR as he currently goes by 263. Furthermore, Rizzo became the 12th active player to achieve the feat, including teammate Giancarlo Stanton .

NY Yankees manager Aaron Boone also complimented Rizzo saying, “It’s nothing to sneeze at…it’s something to be proud of.” He added how there are not many players who can put on a major league uniform and what Rizzo has done is incredible.

Anthony Rizzo reflects on his 300th career HR

Yankees baseman Anthony Rizzo has been playing in his best form this past week following last season’s post-concussion syndrome. He commented that recording his 300th career HR “it’s a great feeling” and “something I’ll definitely remember.”

Lucky for him, Rizzo got back his special ball which landed in the Yankees bullpen to add to his collection. Furthermore, in the first 23 games of the regular season, he recorded 1 HR, hitting .227 with a .590 OPS. In his last six games, he scored 4 HRs adding to his 300th career home run record.

It’s amazing. It’s awesome…For me, that’s big…This game, it comes out of nowhere. Anthony Rizzo as per Greg Joyce of NY Post.

As per the latest news, Rizzo and Philadelphia Phillies’ Alec Bohm were crowned as the AL and NL Players of the Week. This further solidifies his already glamorous MLB career. The season has just started with much more to come and more expectations to see such a game from Anthony Rizzo in the future.
