At 32-years-old, Jake Lamb is in a brand new stretch of his career as he become a sort of journeyman these past couple of seasons. Just last year, he suited up for both the Los Angeles Dodgers and Seattle Mariners.

He now finds himself as one of the many new members of the Los Angeles Angels and he has done everything in his power to produce both on the infield and at the plate whenever his number is called. Lamb is no longer the All-Star that he once was in 2017 but he is still proving to be very valuable for the Halos.

Not many players with his resume would be willing to accept such a non-guaranteed role but he has done so quite well this first month of the 2023 season.

Lamb has been able to see success whenever he steps up to the bat and is not allowing limited playing time hurt his confidence.

"I mean, that's the challenge of coming off the bench," said Lamb. "You're always trying to perfect that craft. It's not easy but cage work helps you stay fresh. Like you said, I was looking to stay aggressive and got a good swing on that curveball."

In 15 games with the Angels this season, Lamb is slashing .214/.267/.310 and has nine hits thus far. We look forward to seeing his growth the rest of the year.
