Jose Bautista's bat flip inspires a holiday sweater

There are two modern-day things that just will not go away: purposely ugly holiday sweaters and Jose Bautista’s bat flip from Game 5 of the ALDS.

So of course the Internet all but exploded on Wednesday when it was revealed that these two entities have joined forces to create a pullover that puts all other Christmas ensembles to shame.

The ode to Bautista's heavily debated home run celebration is the creation of Fresh Brewed Tees, which according to Sportsnet.ca has a whole collection "licensed by the MLB Players Association" to give baseball stars the "ugly sweater" treatment.

Each sweater features a fun holiday-themed play on words to accompany the knitted version of each ballplayer. But the Bautista "Joey To The World" number might take the cake, with the knitted brown bat across the chest of the dark blue and white sweater.

"Merry Flippin' Christmas" indeed.
