The team will start on the road against the St. Louis Cardinals, before visiting the other Missouri team the Kansas City Royals. They’ll then fly to Los Angeles and play the Angels,, before returning home for a series against the Detroit Tigers and the Tampa Bay Rays. They’ll then fly to play against the Houston Astros, before heading east and visiting Yankee Stadium.

Perhaps the reason why they star the first three series on the road is due to the fact that the Rogers Centre will be undergoing renovations?

Pretty tough on the travel, but as fans of the Blue Jays, we’ve grown accustomed to this (see only playing the Orioles once in the first four months).

New to the schedule is the fact that the Blue Jays will play all 15 National League teams over the course of the season for the first time ever.

Prior to 2023, American League teams would play a series against a certain National League division. This season, the AL East played against teams in the NL Central division. Furthermore, they would play their NL rival (so for example, the New York Yankees played the New York Mets), but for the Jays, along with the Boston Red Sox, it alternated between the Philadelphia Phillies and Atlanta Braves.

For next season’s schedule, they’ll play only one split series game against the Phillies. Two games in May, and two games in August.

Either way, I’m excited about the new change, as playing teams in the AL East is excruciating, especially when each team (other than the Boston Fraudsox) is a pretty darn good team.
