The Braves offense has been sputtering through much of the first two months of the season. At times, there are glimpses of it coming together, but the one constant has been Marcell Ozuna.

The Braves designated hitter has been among the best offensive players in baseball. He leads the National League in homers and is first in all of baseball in RBIs, with his total climbing to 40 after adding a couple more last night. Putting him in elite company, as Ozuna became the fastest Braves player to 40 RBIs since Hank Aaron in 1970.

Ozuna is well on his way to his first All-Star appearance since 2017. He’s been the heart and soul of the Braves lineup and clubhouse the entire year. Not only does he lead the National League in homers and RBIs, but he’s second to only Shohei Ohtani in OPS and sixth in batting average. If Ozuna continues to stay this hot, there may be a triple crown watch in the future.
