MIAMI - The Mets won another game against the Marlins on Saturday, with Mark Canha having a big day at the plate on offense.

Canha, who was hitless in the Mets' first two games of the season, went 3-for-4 with a single, double, home run, a walk, two RBIs and three runs scored on the afternoon, as the Mets beat the Marlins 6-2.

According to Canha, he made some minor adjustments coming into the game, which involved getting his timing down.

"I made some adjustments and was just hoping for the best," Canha said. "I wasn't stressed or anything about not getting a hit the first two days.

"I felt like I was seeing the ball decently and was just waiting for my swing to come around. I was close, I just needed to make a minor adjustment."

Canha has had some success at Marlins Park since joining the Mets last season. For him, he enjoys playing here for a multitude of reasons.

"I like this ballpark. I like playing here," he said. "Good batter's box, good batter's eye. I think I do see the ball well here."

Canha also drew praise from Mets manager Buck Showalter.

"He's a guy, when you're going through lineups, you always want to figure out a way to fit him in there if you can," Showalter said of Canha after the game.
