Max Muncy's walk-off grand slam made Dodger Stadium history

Max Muncy helped the Los Angeles Dodgers make Dodger Stadium history on Wednesday after socking a walk-off grand slam in the ninth inning to cap off a three-game sweep of the Philadelphia Phillies.

Muncy's heroics gave the Dodgers a ridiculous 36 runs over the three-game set, their most ever over the 61-year history of Dodger Stadium, per ESPN Stats and Info

The offensive onslaught was also tied for the most runs scored in a three-game series by the Dodgers since the franchise moved from Brooklyn to Los Angeles in 1958.

After blowing out Philadelphia by a combined score of 26-5 on Monday and Tuesday, the Dodgers came from behind to beat the Phillies on get-away day.

Trailing 5-0 early, the Dodgers and Phillies were knotted at 6-6 in the bottom of the ninth, setting the stage for Muncy's walk-off grand salami off old pal Craig Kimbrel.

Los Angeles' big series at the plate increased its National League West-leading run differential to plus-42, 34 more than the second-best Arizona Diamondbacks (plus-8).

In the NL, the Dodgers trail only the Chicago Cubs (plus-44), Pittsburgh Pirates (plus-45) and Atlanta Braves (plus-48).

The Dodgers' 10-6 victory over the Phillies moved them to 19-13 and wrapped up an undefeated six-game homestand.

Los Angeles hopes their red-hot play at home (12-6) transfers to the road, where they're only 7-7, with matchups against the San Diego Padres (17-15) and Milwaukee Brewers (18-11) ahead.
