The New York Mets placed right-hander Sean Reid-Foley on the 15-day injured list Saturday with a right shoulder impingement.

The move is retroactive to Thursday for Reid-Foley, who began the season with a shoulder impingement.

Reid-Foley, 28, allowed one hit in one-third on an inning of relief in a blown save against the Texas Rangers on Wednesday.

He is 1-2 with a 1.66 ERA in 23 relief appearances this season. He is 8-12 with a 4.10 ERA in 71 career appearances (13 starts) with the Toronto Blue Jays and Mets.

Also on Saturday, the Mets recalled left-hander Danny Young from Triple-A Syracuse.

Young, 30, is 2-0 with a 1.00 ERA in nine relief appearances with the Mets this season. He sports that same record with a 1.90 ERA in 20 career relief appearances with the Seattle Mariners, Atlanta Braves and Mets from 2022-24.
