Shortstop Francisco Lindor was the lone New York Mets player to earn All-MLB honors on Friday night in Las Vegas.
Lindor was named the second-team shortstop, behind the Texas Rangers’ Corey Seager.
Lindor won the National League Silver Slugger award at shortstop earlier this season after he led NL shortstops with 31 home runs, 98 RBIs and a 6.0 fWAR. It was the third Silver Slugger trophy of his career.
It was the best offensive campaign for a shortstop in Mets history. He also posted a 30-30 season, with 31 homers and 31 stolen bases. This was just the fourth 30-30 season in Mets history.
Lindor is entering the fourth year of a 10-year, $341 million contract and has career slash numbers of .254/.333/.447 with a .780 OPS, 77 homers and 268 RBIs in those three seasons.
