Nolan Arenado received two awesome honors for his excellent defensive play in 2018, though one of his awards contained a major mistake.

Arenado was named the Gold Glove winner. He also was named the Platinum Glove winner. As you can see below, Arenado’s Platinum Glove Award has the words “Gold Glove Award” below the glove.

Whether it’s the Gold Glove or Platinum Glove, Arenado is gathering an impressive collection of each. He was won the National League’s Gold Glove Award for third base six seasons in a row. Arenado has taken home the Platinum Glove Award, given to the best defensive player in each of the past two years.
