The Philadelphia Phillies are getting ready for their final series of the regular season.

Comfortably locked into the fourth seed of the postseason, they are still awaiting who will be their opponent when the National League side of the MLB Playoffs begin.

Ahead of their series against the New York Mets, President of Baseball Operations, Dave Dombrowski, announced roster moves that the Phillies have made.

The big one is that they have placed one of their top relievers, Dylan Covey, on the 15-day injured list with lower back pain.

Covey has turned into a go-to guy out of the bullpen for manager Rob Thomson.

He has an ERA of 2.76 during his 28 appearances for Philadelphia, including zero runs over his last eight innings pitched.

They recalled Luis Ortiz from their Triple-A Lehigh Valley affiliate to replace him on the active roster.

The right hander has appeared in 13 games for the Phillies this season, recording an ERA of 3.50 over 18 innings pitched.

He last appeared for Philadelphia on Aug. 20 before being optioned down the next day.

The Phillies also announced they have moved infielder Rodolfo Castro to their Spring Training complex, which will serve as a "stay ready" unit for players to be recalled due to injury or other circumstances.

Castro was a trade deadline acquisition this season and has a slash line of .100/.156/.100 with two RBI in 14 games since being sent to Philadelphia.

Utility man Weston Wilson was recalled from Triple-A to take a spot on the active roster.

He has spent time back and forth between the Major League team and the affiliate. He's had an incredible minor league season, recording a slash line of .259/.363/.515 with 31 home runs and 86 RBI.

With the Phillies, he has a slash line of .333/.667/.883 with one home run and RBI in his limited five games.

These roster moves should signal who will be on the active roster heading into the Wild Card round, especially since Covey has been placed on the IL before the regular season ends.
