Major League Baseball and the MLBPA continue to try to negotiate a solution to the financial issues that will face the sport, and a new proposal is on the way.

According to Evan Drellich of The Athletic, MLB has prepared a new economic proposal that will be presented to the MLBPA next week.

The agreement is expected to change some of the terms that the league and players agreed to in the deal they made in March. That has been a sticking point, with players feeling that they already had an agreement while the league argued that players knew further adjustments may be required depending on circumstances.

What we don’t know is what will be in the offer. The league’s initial plan offered a 50-50 split of revenue, but that was dismissed as a salary cap by the MLBPA. Nobody’s sure what comes next.
