Report: Orioles trading pitcher Tommy Milone to Braves

The Atlanta Braves are in need of starting pitching, and it sounds like they intend on solving that problem at the trade deadline.

According to The Athletic's Ken Rosenthal, the Braves are acquiring left-hander Tommy Milone from the Baltimore Orioles:

USA Today's Bob Nightengale adds the Orioles get two players to be named later:

Milone is 1-4 on the season with a 3.99 ERA, 31 strikeouts and a 1.261 WHIP. The 33-year-old was scheduled to start for the Orioles on Monday and must undergo testing before joining the Braves.

The Braves pitching staff has struggled this season without the likes of Mike Soroka, Cole Hamels and Felix Hernandez. Although the Braves are 18-14 on the season, their starters are averaging just 4.2 innings per game.

MLB insider Robert Murray adds that the Braves still are looking to add another starting pitcher to their rotation before the deadline is over, so we'll have to wait and see what happens.
